Role : Principal Engineer
Job Location : Bangalore
Primary Responsibilities:
His primary job responsibility would be design and development of applications on the android platform. He is expected to have a good back-ground of application development using JAVA or C++ and object-oriented analysis and design.
He is expected to mentor a team of 5-6 people on day to day technical issues. He is expected to be extremely proficient in understanding complex design and code. He is expected to have strong end-to-end architecture knowledge of software systems.
He would be involved in debugging complex problems on the Android platforms.
He is also expected to interface with business and other customer facing teams to provide them accurate technical solutions approaches to business problems.
Qualifications/Education:
Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Science or equivalent.
We can consider other qualifications, if supported by good experience in the field.
Skills Required for the Role
• 8 -10 years of software development experience
• Min. 2+ years of experience on Android. Minimum 4-5 years on Mobile development in general.
• Experience in architecting and designing mobile software solutions
• Excellent knowledge in OOAD, Component Oriented Software Design, OO & design patterns
• Experiencing mentoring technical teams of size 5-6 people or more.
• Deep understanding of software delivery processes.
• Deep understanding of end-to-end architecture. Ability to provide scope and solution approach to business problems independently.
• Very good understanding of Java and/or C++.
• Memory management techniques on embedded devices
• Packaging and deployment on various devices
• Knowledge of remote Debugging tool/devices
• Knowledge about emulators for various phones
• Knowledge of various device type
• Knowledge of Start-up sequence, touch screen UI, KB UI, form factor etc.
• Very good knowledge of android platform and android development framework.
• Knowledge of android NDK (Native Development Kit) will be an added advantage.
• Willingness to learn and work on cross platforms viz. Windows or Linux.
